Surat al-Fil · The Elephant

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1

   أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ ۝١ayah 1

   Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the People of the Elephant?

2. 2

   أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ ۝٢ayah 2

   Did He not make their plan go wrong?

3. 3

   وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ ۝٣ayah 3

   He sent against them swarms of birds.

4. 4

   تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ ۝٤ayah 4

   Throwing at them rocks of baked clay.

5. 5

   فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ ۝٥ayah 5

   Leaving them like chewed-up leaves.
