Surat al-Infitaar · The Cleaving

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1p. 587

   إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتْ ۝١ayah 1

   When the sky breaks apart.

2. 2

   وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ ۝٢ayah 2

   When the planets are scattered.

3. 3

   وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ ۝٣ayah 3

   When the oceans are exploded.

4. 4

   وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ۝٤ayah 4

   When the tombs are strewn around.

5. 5

   عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ ۝٥ayah 5

   Each soul will know what it has advanced, and what it has deferred.

6. 6

   يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ ۝٦ayah 6

   O man! What deluded you concerning your Lord, the Most Generous?

7. 7

   ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ۝٧ayah 7

   He Who created you, and formed you, and proportioned you?

8. 8

   فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ۝٨ayah 8

   In whatever shape He willed, He assembled you.

9. 9

   كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ ۝٩ayah 9

   But you reject the religion.

10. 10

    وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ ۝١٠ayah 10

    Though over you are watchers.

11. 11

    كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ ۝١١ayah 11

    Honest recorders.

12. 12

    يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ ۝١٢ayah 12

    They know everything you do.

13. 13

    إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ۝١٣ayah 13

    The virtuous will be in bliss.

14. 14

    وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ ۝١٤ayah 14

    While the wicked will be in Hell.

15. 15

    يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ۝١٥ayah 15

    They will enter it on the Day of Justice.

16. 16

    وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ ۝١٦ayah 16

    And they will not be absent from it.

17. 17

    وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ۝١٧ayah 17

    But what will convey to you what the Day of Justice is?

18. 18

    ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ۝١٨ayah 18

    Then again, what will convey to you what the Day of Justice is?

19. 19

    يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ ۝١٩ayah 19

    The Day when no soul will avail another soul anything; and the decision on that Day is Allah’s.
