Surat az-Zalzala · The Earthquake

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 1

   إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ۝١ayah 1

   When the earth is shaken with its quake.

2. 2

   وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ۝٢ayah 2

   And the earth brings out its loads.

3. 3

   وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا لَهَا ۝٣ayah 3

   And man says, “What is the matter with it?”

4. 4

   يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ۝٤ayah 4

   On that Day, it will tell its tales.

5. 5

   بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ۝٥ayah 5

   For your Lord will have inspired it.

6. 6

   يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ ۝٦ayah 6

   On that Day, the people will emerge in droves, to be shown their works.

7. 7

   فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُۥ ۝٧ayah 7

   Whoever has done an atom's weight of good will see it.

8. 8

   وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ ۝٨ayah 8

   And whoever has done an atom's weight of evil will see it.
